We took a chance and drove over - so glad we did. Thoroughly enjoyed the day although, as you say, the weather certainly took a change for the worst! One minute we were basking in the sunshine on the clifftop with some great views of puffins, razorbills etc.; next minute it was time to get the waterproofs on! But that's Scotland in June as we know. I enjoy hillwalking so am used to changeable weather - so we came well prepared with shorts, sun tan cream and waterproofs!
Enjoyed the trip both ways - something special about being out on the water even in wind and rain. You certainly made the right call not to continue round the south coast of the island - that was quite a swell. And that is quite a responsibility you have with approx 100 on board. So looks like the coastguard's forecast is just as good as the tv weather....
An excellent trip and many thanks again for writing back. I had been before with my father and we had an excellent day, so I knew what to expect. My daughter absolutely loved the island and how close we were able to get to the birds; plus she got to see the puffins - and there were plenty! Would recommend your trip to anyone and thanks again for a memorable day.
All the best,
Mike McLaren

We received a letter from a lady, who had taken the trip out to the island with her disabled mother and young son, and made the following comments about her experiences onboard…
“ An example worthy of praise was the care and consideration shown to my mother by the staff and crew of the May Princess on our visit to the Island . They could not have been more accommodating and understanding towards the needs of a disabled passenger…. The tourist attraction was a credit to Fife . ”
